The Novel Idea Neighborhood Library is the perfect way to inspire reading, cultivate literacy, and build community.

   

This truly UNIQUE, CUSTOMIZABLE mini-library features removable and double-sided interchangeable sides, allowing you to customize your library with our collection of pre-printed panels. Made from high impact polystyrene, these hold up against the elements while providing beautiful graphic prints.

Choose from dozens of designs such as: seasons, holidays, celebrations, information, literary genres, banned books, and more. See our Panels Page for more info. New designs being added monthly. 

    

   

  

OR you can paint on the blank DIY panels. Even host a Books & Brushes party. (Like painting with a twist but with books).   

OR you can purchase a plexiglass cover and print your own announcements or art.  Our HOA customers actually requested this for their communities. 

Or mix and match.  

You can even send us your custom images and we can print them for you. 

   

Each library is thoughtfully designed and comes with the following features:

• Durable construction: Built to last, with high grade plywood, weather-resistant primer, and a sloped roof with roofing paint to protect books from the elements.
• Plexiglass-front door: Stylish and functional, with magnetic door latch, making books easy to browse while keeping them safe and dry.
• Compact dimensions: Measuring approximately 24" wide, 21" tall, and 14" deep, it’s the perfect size to house 30-40 books.
• Customizable panels: Our UNIQUE feature. Choose from a variety of designs, or create your own with our DIY panels and keep the library looking fresh and relevant. Each order comes with ONE set of three DIY panels to get you started. Paint on each side for a total of 6 design options. 
• Post Cap: Each order comes with an easy to attach post cap. The post does not come with the order. Some people choose to put the library in a planter (as shown in pictures) which makes them HOA compliant. Others choose to post in the ground. We provide instructions on how to do either. 
• Easy to assemble: When shipped, our libraries will require some assembly. (Approximately 7 steps, 10 minutes)  Instructions will be sent. All holes are predrilled and hardware will be included. Customers will need a Phillips screwdriver or a power drill. We will also post an instructional video here.
• We provide free shipping on all orders of this Library in the Continental US.

Note on shipping: Shipping costs on this item range from $50-$180 in the Continental US. Instead of raising our prices to cover that, we are leaving this product customized to the individual locations.
